Ben-Hur Judah's mother and his sister are in prison for 8 years. Somebody lets them go and they are lepers. They beg by the gate and then see their old slave. They talk to her and she brings them food and water every day. They tell her not to tell Judah about them because he would be sad if he knew they were lepers.
